FLAGPOLE ACCESSORIES
HALYARDS
How long should my halyard be? Typically this is the height of the flagpole multiplied by two. It is better to have a little extra than not enough. How often should you replace flagpole halyard? Each time a flag is replaced, check the halyard for signs of wear. When obvious signs of halyard wear are present, a new rope can be pulled through with worn rope.
GOLD ANODIZED ALUMINUM BALLSGold Anodized Aluminum Balls are the most common ornament for topping off your flagpole. Size of the ball is determined by the butt diameter at the base of your flagpole.
Retainer rings are generally used with internal halyard flagpoles, by providing a means of keeping the bottom of the flag close to the pole and as an aid to raise and lower the flag. Retainer rings also can be used on large multi-grommet flags on both external and internal halyard flagpoles as a means to keep the flags close to the pole and reduce the strain on the upper and lower grommets of the flag.
